Summer Movie Line-Up:

July: Summer Fun with Annette Funicello & Frankie Avalon

7/8 – Beach Party (1963) – This is the beach bash that launched them all! The original Frankie Avalon/ Annette Funicello outing defined the California generation and introduced surfing, bikinis, and a hole lotta hip-shakin’ rock ‘n’ roll to a shocked America. This music filled is full of summer fun and summer love! See the Original Trailer Here.

7/15 – Bikini Beach (1964) – That musical beach party gang is at it again with a fun-filled, full-swing party at the beach! When a charismatic Brit-pop idol Potato Bug send the girls swooning, a jealous Frankie challenges the English crooner to a drag race…resulting in a picture packed with surfing, speed, and slapstick. See the Original Trailer Here.

7/22 – Beach Blanket Bingo (1965) – Sink your toes in the sand and get ready to rock and roll with Frankie and Annette in this prequel to ‘How to Stuff a Wild Bikini’ that has fun, frolic and song! With a cast of comedy legends, including Don Rickles and Buster Keaton, this surfin’, singin’ sand-fest is a sun-kissed winner! To get the party underway, the manager (Paul Lynde) of pop singer Sugar Kane (Linda Evans) decides a skydiving publicity stunt will really do the trick. As Frankie and the others are pulled into the plan, things get out of control. Throw in Bonehead (Jody McCrea) falling in love with a mermaid (Marta Kristen) and a kidnapping biker (Harvey Lembeck), and the party’s just getting started. See the Original Trailer Here.

7/29 – How to Stuff a Wild Bikini (1965) – While on naval reserve duty in Tahiti and away from his girlfriend, Dee Dee (Annette Funicello), Frankie (Frankie Avalon) worries that she might be unfaithful. So Frankie hires witch doctor Bwana (Buster Keaton) who dispatches an alluring sea beauty named Cassandra (Beverly Adams) to entice sleazy advertising executive Ricky (Dwayne Hickman) away from Dee Dee. But unexpected complications arise when the beach becomes topsy-turvy after Cassandra arrives. See the Original Trailer Here.
